Course Request Changes

Students can now turn in any signed course request change forms today through Friday, March 23rd at 4:00 pm. No exceptions will be made to this deadline. Just as a reminder... students with last names beginning A-K will turn their forms in to Ms. Hickerson. Students with last names beginning L-Z will turn their forms in to Ms. Berk.

There has not been a decision made on a graduation date at this time. The final decision will be made at the April Board meeting. We will announce this information as soon as it is known.

Schedule Info

All students will receive a packet of information regarding any changes they wish to make for their 2018-2019 course requests 3/16/18.  This is NOT their actual student schedule.  A sample of this packet can be found on the Guidance webpage.  If you have any questions about this packet, please see an administrator or a counselor.  Thank you!

April 20, 2018

On April 20, 2018 at BCHS, we will provide our students with an opportunity to have a voice concerning school safety and violence. We will have an assembly/guest speaker in the gym in the morning. Then throughout the day, students will have a variety of options to get involved in advocacy, learning, or memorializing the victims of school shootings.

Course Requests

On Friday, March 16th, all students will receive a packet of information regarding their 2018-2019 course requests.  This packet will include:

--a copy of their Infinite Campus generated course requests

--a student transcript

--a copy of graduation requirements

--a copy of grade-level elective course options

--a course request change form

--information on our career pathways at Bourbon County High School

--individual student information on pathways in-progress

If a student wants to change a course request for the 2018-2019 school year, they will be able to do so during the week of Monday, March 19—Friday, March 23rd at 4:00 p.m.   Students wishing to change a course request must fill out the course request change form and get the form signed by a parent/guardian.  These can be then submitted to their appropriate counselor (Ms. Hickerson: last names A-K; Ms. Berk: last names L-Z).  If the course request change causes an issue with a student’s graduation requirements or with their career pathway continuity/completion, the course request will not be changed.  If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask one of the administrators or counselors.  Thank you!

Students wishing to eat the “Grab and Go” breakfast or students who bring their own breakfast will eat in the gym and remain there until the bell rings to dismiss to 1st period class. The cafeteria will not be open for any students until 7:45am, at which point we will announce for students wishing to eat the hot breakfast to go to the cafeteria.
