Homecoming Week is a very special week culminating with the crowning of the King and Queen at half time of the football game. Queen Karly Black and King Donovan Hollar were joined on the field with 6 other king and queen candidates from the senior class, 2 attendants from each of the other classes and 2 crown bearers. The Colonels Football Team won over Mason County 50-43 on a near last second touchdown by Ca”Marr Myers. The last half hour of school on Friday, a pep rally was held on the football field with games and routines by the dance team and cheerleaders. After school, the homecoming parade brought candidates riding in convertibles, to the front steps of the high school for a formal photo. Cheerleaders, dance team and floats were also a part of the parade. The Grand Marshalls for the parade were Max Carter and Clara Fritsch, Crown Bearers for the Homecoming Ceremony. Saturday evening was a semi formal homecoming dance, a great way to close out homecoming week.
