Bourbon County FFA members travelled to Richmond on October 7, 2014 to compete in the Regional Land Judging Contest.  The students evaluate land capability based on slope, amount of erosion, conservation measures and other criteria. We are proud to announce that Bourbon County won the contest and will compete in the state contest in November.

The following students were on the team.  Ethan Williams, Aaron Ashcraft, Brandon theurer, Jordan bohanan, and Madison ketchersid.

Ethan Williams was the high individual and Aaron Ashcraft was the 2nd high individual.

FFA at the 2014 State Fair

Please read the article about how our FFA students did at the 2014 Kentucky State Fair.

Congratulations to BCHS FFA!!!!

This weekend, Bourbon Co FFA members are excited to announce that we are a National 3 star chapter. This is the highest ranking that an FFA chapter can receive. In order to qualify for a national rating, a chapter must receive a state gold rating. We have been a state gold chapter every year since 1966. After a chapter is rated gold, you may enter the state contest. Only the top 15 chapters in the state are considered for a national rating.

BCHS FFA Members will be receiving their first ever 3 star rating in school history at the national FFA Convention in October. Huge congratulations go to the current FFA Officers on their hard work. Lyndsay Haynes and Allison Sandefur worked extra hard on this application. The application is graded on our activities concerning chapter, student, and community development. If you see any of our officers, please congratulate them.
