North Middletown Elementary Promotion

Promotion for 22 fifth graders at North Middletown Elementary was June 5th at 1:00 in the afternoon. Graduates marched in as the audience stood for the Processional. Tyler Richie and Gabe Ishmael lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. The Opening Prayer was led by Joe Torres. Angela Newsome, teacher at North Middletown Elementary, sang "Never Grow Up". Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs Cloyd and Ms. Mullins presented Fourth Grade Awards followed by the video "Fifth Grade Memories". Ms. Mullins, Mrs. Cloyd and Mrs. Mitchell then presentated Promotion Certificates and Awards. The last part of the program was the Recessional as students moving on to Bourbon Middle School exited the gymnasium. A reception for the students and guest followed with punch and cake.

Bourbon Central Elementary Promotion

The Awards Program for Bourbon Central Elementary Was June 5th at 8:30 a.m. The program began as the 5th grade students marched into the gymnasium. Mr. Sheroan, principal of Bourbon Central Elementary, gave the welcome and special recognition awards. These included: Spelling Bee Winner-Sam Gorley, "What My Grandparent Means to Me" Essay Contest Winner-Lindsey Sargent, D.A.R.E. Essay Contest Winners-Haley Hart, Amber Jude, Hunter Means and Kayleigh Murphy, AARP Grandparent Essay Contest Winner-Daniel Deloya Chavez, History Fair Winner-Garrett Clark, and Art Show Best in Show-Caleb Fister. Mr. Akers led the fifth grade class in the school song,"We Are The Bears Of Bourbon Central". Awards for the fourth grade were given out my teachers: Mrs, Maust, Mrs. Rawlins, Ms. Whitaker, Mrs. White, Mrs. Beheler, Mrs. Forrest, Mrs. Mitchell and Ms. Vanover. The Academic Team and Governor’s Cup were recognized by Mrs. Hale, Mrs. Rawlins and Ms. Whitaker. Mr. Sheroan and Mr. Madill prresented the President’s Education Award and the promotion certificates were given to the fifth grade students.

BCHS Graduation BCHS Graduation

Two Hundred and Thirty Seniors received their diplomas from Superintendent Lana Fryman Friday Evening, June 6th in the Bourbon County High School Gymnasium.  "Pomp and Circumstance" was played by the BCHS Concert Band as the graduates marched into a full house.   This years Valedictorian was Jonathon Hart Foley and the Salutatorian was Jessica Eskridge.
