I am entering my 19th year of teaching all in Bourbon County. I currently teach 2nd grade after several years in 1st grade and as a Title I teacher in Reading Recovery and small intervention groups. I have experience in most grades K-5th. I have also been trained in CIM, and MARS (all great resources for teaching reading).
I am currently a teacher representative on our School Based Decision Making team (voted in by my colleagues). We meet each month (3:30p.m. on the 3rd Thursday).
I received my bachelor's degree from Berea College in 2002 and my master's degree from Georgetown College in 2008. I continue to update and develop my education through various Professional Development opportunities (trainings, book studies, etc.)
I reside in Nicholas County with my husband who teaches special education in Robertson County, my two children Oliver and Emerson, and our various pets.
