On October 22nd, Bourbon County Middle School participated in National Mix It Up Day at lunch. Students were encouraged to sit with someone they didn’t usually sit with or know well. Conversation cards were placed on the tables to serve as ice breakers. The cards asked funny questions such as “If you could have any superpower what would it be?¨” and ¨”If you had three wishes what would they be?¨
This generation of students has a hard time with change and meeting new people. So the goal of National Mix It Up Day is to make that easier while students are still young. Hopefully, new friendships blossomed during lunch, or the participants learned something new about their classmates.
