The safety of our students, staff and community is always our top priority. Any event sponsored by Bourbon County Schools must be completed by noon on Saturday, January 24. We will shut down all campuses around 12:30 and ask all students, staff and visitors to remain off campus until we share a reopening plan.

Due to the predicted timing of incoming winter weather and following consultations with the National Weather Service, Bourbon County Schools will be closed today, Wednesday, January 21. This will be NTI Day #3. Daycare services will remain open.

The 2026–2027 School Calendar has been approved! Community feedback strongly supported a later start date while maintaining traditional school breaks. The calendar committee hopes this schedule reflects the priorities and preferences of our stakeholders.

IMPORTANT! Update to our Absence and Excuse Policy!

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the fact that too many roads are still covered in snow and ice this evening, Bourbon County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Tomorrow will be designated as NTI Day #2. Please have your student follow the instructions provided by their teachers for Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Daycare services will be open.

Bourbon County Schools will be closed on Monday, December 15. This be NTI Day # 1. Please have students complete the work assigned to this day. Daycare services will remain open.

Bourbon County Schools will be closed on Friday, December 12. Daycare services plan to open on a 1-hour delay (7:30) but may cancel by 5am in the morning depending on road conditions.
